ABOUT OUR AREA
As the Tyne Tees Club covers a large area, we have members from right across our region. Members are spread far and wide, including Northumberland (right up to the border with Scotland), as far west as Cumbria, Tyne and Wear, Durham, Teeside and down as far as North Yorkshire..
We have regular club drives to all areas of the region averaging one a month but if the weather is good we’ll have an impromptu drive to a local beauty spot or a trip to the seaside. Members take turns to put on events or runs if they wish to, and we try to ensure that we visit all parts of the region and beyond!
We have evening socials (on the second Wednesday of each month) where we meet up for a chat in one of three local pubs. Because the area is so large, we meet in 3 venues – in the North, Central and South of the area. See ‘Regular Meets’ below for details of the venues, and check out the diary for the dates….
Weekends away to various parts of the country are always popular and we have especially close ties with Scotland where we are always welcomed by the members from the Central Scotland MX-5 Club. Our annual Rounders Grudge Match at Holy Island with Central Scotland’s MX-5 club is very popular and is always great fun.
REGULAR MEETS
The Tyne Tees group meets on the second Wednesday evening of each month at alternately at 3 venues across the region. These are advertised as the North, Central and South Social Nights. Members meet for a drink and a chat at these nights. All venues also serve food if you wish to eat. New and prospective members are welcomed.
The venues for these social nights are:
North – Ridley Arms at Stannington, Stannington, Morpeth, NE61 6EL
