Once again the MX-5 Owners Club will have a stand at the Classic Motor Show, at the NEC, 15 16 17 November this year. Club members are therefore entitled to discounted admission on the Saturday and Sunday, details in the benefits section. The Club stand will be in Hall 19, stand 522. If you're going to the Show then make sure you come along and see the team. Club merchandise will be available to buy and you never know there may be some special offers ! If you've never been before its always a fantastic show, and really not to be missed. Edited by user 16 January 2014 23:54:55(UTC)

I think the world needs to see a hailstone damaged S-Limited, with rare factory driving seats and Work CR-O1s......

Please do let us know if the Phoenix Fives can be of any assistance to you in organising/running/helping out on the stand.
We also have a pretty good crop of beautiful cars local to the NEC should you require ;)
I never miss this show. It's rather excellent. I highly recommend it to all members. Edited by user 01 October 2013 13:15:06(UTC)

Hi guys
Does anyone know if club members get an entry discount? I've got our club night tomorrow and it would be nice to let everyone know of the code.
Thanks

I have been trying to find that out for the last three weeks still waiting for a reply, best of luck.
Probably same old though.

There's plenty of show information at;
http://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/visitors-guide.php?title=things-to-see-and-do-at-the-show&id=43
I'd imagine that the organisers of the event will largely keep to their tried and trusted, and successful, format, of previous years.

Whoever said it was "successful" keeping to the same old format year after year after year.
Same cars we have all seen there before. Gets boring after a while.

The crowds; the ticket sales seem to indicate a healthy support from the public for the format of static club stands interspersed with a mixture of trade events, special displays, moving displays and lectures. Not every one who goes, goes to look at cars. Thats a secondary intention for me; its usually for information gathering purposes, speaking to the traders and specialists, even buying stuff. For instance, I need to have a good conversation with Furniture Clinic, and see their new carpet paint, in relation to restoring S-Limited carpet (can V-Spec tan carpet be painted to match S-Limited. It cannot be dyed, as its manmade), as well as discussions about leather paint (I have black leather seats that have been repainted red). Although the traders and specialists can be contacted through other means, its my one chance all year to get all of them gathered in one room.
Every year I go to the NEC, although there are some cars I have seen before, by and large, most of the cars oi display I haven't seen before. The new Jag concept car will be interesting.
Unless I am mistaken, this thread is about purchasing tickets at a discount to the NEC Classxic Car event in November. People are of course free not to purchase a ticket, if this show is not for them.
