Back in the club after a long absence and planning to attend the rally. Do we have any kind of schedule? Is there anything happening on the Saturday or is it just Sunday? What time does it start and wrap up?

Thanks,

Mike

Disappointed in not seeing any events for Saturday such as planned drives.

Plenty to do in the area to self organise but sorry to see the demise of the social side of National Rallies such as a dinner event.

I think that dinner is not happening just for this year, and next year will be back to the usual for those members that want it.

There are 4 planned self guide drives in hand, being checked and coordinated at the moment and will be published around 2 weeks prior to the event.

Unfortunately diminishing ticket sales for dinners meant they are no longer possible to stage annually. Prices per head for dinners have exceeded what members have historically been prepared to pay and minimum contract numbers imposed by venues have meant penalties when the Club has not met these agreements.

We have tried to arrange something informal with the designated rally hotel for the 100 or so folks staying this year, however they have imposed a minimum number contract for sit down dinners at £35 per head just for the meal before any entertainment -  we are unable to commit to this.

There will be a Anniversary evening event next year.

There is a postponed site meeting happening this Sunday to finalise many components of the event that we can update all the Club resources with further details.
