Looked out of the window last night. It was 8.05 pm and pitch dark.

So I guess the tyre kicking season is over for another year.

Roll on the spring. Hopefully a dry one.

Not quite, we still have the Rally on the 30th and the 23rd is usually a good weekend where we are spoiled for choice in the North West of England, i have three to choose from.

There’s still a lot of fun to be had through the autumn and winter months. The heaters on these cars are generally pretty good, so driving with the hood down on a bright, sunny day can be exhilarating. Keeping the car running throughout the year is generally good for it too. Just need to avoid salted roads of course!

Same here, roof down, heaters on and on with the bob hats. Some great days (albeit chilly) to be had up here in the northwest. Also the roads tend to be a lot quieter as well. Forecast is for a good day tomorrow so planning a trip to Grassington. Happy days!

My post referred to monthly area meetings. No one seems to want to make the most of available daylight.

Such a shame when owners stop going out, we use the cars all year, and go to meets and events all year.

I was wondering how the monthly meetings would get on in a dark pub carpark.

That is a great picture in the snow.

Hard to believe those pictures were taken in July. You need to move to South Devon and join the neanderthals:-)

Only bought my first Mx5 beginning of May with the intention of sorning it over winter being a second car but having had so much fun with the roof down cannot bear to just lock it up over winter with the tax due end of this month. Fantastic heater and heated seats if needed as long as it's not raining it's even better in the cold. Yes it's another £150 or so for mine but worth every penny to get her out. Still got the grin factor and any excuse to stretch her legs. Got a smart charger to keep the battery topped up if needs be.
