fwiw I spotted the 2019 model 181ps ND4, in blue, in my local Mazda dealer's showroom yesterday.  They don't have one available for road testing yet but one should be available soon.

Don't think the blue you suggest is a new colour, probably Artic Blue. Only new colours in the range as I understand are metallic upgrades to Solar Red and the dark Metal Grey. For a moment got a little excited at the thought of some decent new colours. Will keep the White Pearlescent Icon thanks.

Hopefully quick enough then for many. Looking forward to experienced 5 owning appraisals more than any journo's.

Considering they have the same BHP as both my mighty autobhan storming 3ltr Opel Monzas of 80's yore (which weighed more than the Bismark)...it just shows how engine technology has moved on.

Yes your right, getting confused with the Arctic White and the special edition MK4 Arctic which was of course in Eternal Blue. But is the Eternal Blue a new colour or the same, it does say Metallic after it, so could be like the new Solar Red Metallic. Need some new colours.

I'd really like to know if the seats are any better.  The lack of lumbar support in the standard leather seats to date is a disappointment.  Also whether is is really much different to drive 'normally' than its predecessor.  It sounds as if the extra 20 or so bhp has come mainly from raising the rpm limit, and the performance could well be very similar below 6500rpm.

Thanks Andy for that, will get along to the local dealer to see if any of these new colours will inspire me, to want to change. I'm afraid I fell in love with True Red.

Ah...not studied it tbh.

Some extra mid-range torque would have been handy as it is with any car.

I sat in one yesterday and in the cabin you could only feel the difference of the adjustable steering and a few differences in the instrument graphics.

Seats are identical IMHO
