I'm looking to fit a new passenger window as the existing one is badly scratched. I've also a floor carpet to install and need to pad the quarter-deck as the Cobra exhaust sends a bit more vibration than the stock one. :-)

Greetings Robbie.  I hope visitors from the badlands of very South Essex will be admitted (my first) as I have a new near-side door mirror to install if it arrives prior to the day (now on order).  I also am interested in seeing other members' jobs as one in particular is on my to-do list. Ray.

Hi Robbie,

I was coming along to change the fuel and oil filters and fit a clock but unfortunately can't make it on the day. 2 birthdays take priority over me enjoying myself

Hi Robbie,

I'm planning on fitting a TR lane roll bar on this tech day, I do have most of the tools except a punch. I'm not sure if my drill can reach the difficult areas.
I also know that I need to prepare the car by removing the self behind the seats.

As I got the roll bar as used, I got supplied with 8.8 grade bolts, are those the normal ones or I should get high-tensile ones?

Finally, do you think that this will be possible? Also let me know if I need anything else on the day...

Cheers!
Many Thanks! :)

Hi Spiros

I did this a couple tech days ago. I'll bring the tools I used, just in case. And the knowledge of how to do it.

Stephen

No, but I know it's only temporary and I'm doing a mini-tour of England & Wales in three weeks time and I can change it for free (and with confidence) at Tech Day so it's a no-brainer really. I'll keep the old one as an emergency spare probably.

Hello All!

Only a few days to go so some reminders:

Please bring as many of your own tools with you as possible, including jacks etc. There are always bit & bobs you can borrow but it's easier if you have your own.

Although it's a barn/garage and so we don't need to treat it like an operating theatre, please bring old sheets etc. to mop up any spillages.

All rubbish & old fluids need to be removed at the end of the day.

Tea & coffee will be available, but there will be no bacon butties this time (unless someone wants to volunteer to come along and be chef!?) so please bring a packed lunch. Contributions of cake are always welcome... ;-)

It all starts at 9am so we look forward to seeing you there - small signs will be placed on the Green Street/Cuckoo Lane turning and then at the turning before the polo club.

Anything else Robbie?

Karl

The job I wanted to do and possibly be helped with I have now done myself!  So if anyone needs the inside grif on door mirror replacement...  Nothing broken or lost or left over after completion.  Still, I need to observe a particular job being done and get advice regarding another pending problem.   On the subject of food, bacon sarnies need to be hot so can't pre-prepare to bring with.  How about a box of doughnuts?
