I originally posted on this subject before (about May/June) but all my information has been lost on this website, so I am trying again! I would be grateful if the original respondent replies again.
I bought an MX-5 Special Edition 2014 2000cc hard top secondhand (2500 miles) in March 2018 from Mazda dealer in Truro. I LOVE IT!
However, the original radio (single cd model) will not receive anything on LW or AM, even though my small domestic analogue radio on battery or mains will receive both clearly just outside the car!! I have taken it back to the dealer and I am told that the cause is "poor reception" and was advised to buy a digital radio. Does anyone else have this problem? Could the problem be the aerial/connection? Unfortunately the One Year Warranty does not cover this problem. If I asked to go to the moon I would probably get lots of help!!!

Has it got the original, factory aerial pole fitted? It should be around 30cm long.

Yes, it looks like it. I have checked the plug for security from inside the boot, seems ok too!
