? Does anybody have good (or bad) experience of getting guaranteed value insurance for their mx5.

I have an independent value of £8,000 for my original Mk1 from a reputable MX5 garage in the Southampton area who did a retro fit power steering upgrade, fantastic, should have done it sooner.

I see in recent post of indifferent experience with the MX5OC insurers, who I would otherwise have started with.

? any recommendations or advice

John

I use Lancasters to insure my VR-Limited.  Agreed valuation insurance with them of £7k. I had to submit photos of exterior, interior and engine bay, and fill out a short form.  They didn't need any sort of valuation from an 'expert'.  From memory I think it cost an extra 10 quid.
