I propose to fit my BP4W (non-S-VT) head onto a reconditioned BP6D (S-VT) block.  I see that the part numbers for the BP4W head gasket is different to that of the BP6D.

So….. my question is - are there any issues connected with fitting a BP4W head onto a BP6D block and what head gasket should I use?

I'd suggest calling Anthony at AK Automotive.

They do "stuff" like that not least building & developing Mazda Cup cars.

Thanks, guys. Michael Cleverley (of Cleverley Repaired Cars) has come back to me and advised that I should use the BP6D head gasket. Thanks, Michael.
