Many of you will know me from other MX5 forums, I figured it was about time I joined the owners club, I don't really know why I haven't in the past to be honest

For those that don't know me, my name is Garath, I've owned mx5's for about 10 years, in this time I have learn't a lot, my personal car is a mk1 1.6 which I have fitted an uprated bbr turbo conversion, along with many other modifications.

My personal work with mx5's is well documented on other forums, this led to people asking me to carry out work on their cars, which grew to an extent where I have recently acuired a 140m2 workshop in east sussex, where we can carry out restoration and modification work on MX5's, I actually have at least one of the owners club members cars in my possesion at the moment, its his recomendation thaths pushed me to finally join the club.

Please feel free to check out my website www.themx5restorer.co.uk

I hope to make it to some meets soon, and look forward to meeting people

Garath

 Thank you :)

I need to say thanks to Geoff at DB auto repairs for taking care of all the paintwork, and Marc from paragon auto finishing for the final detailing, without both of those guys this work wouldn't be possible

Hi Those pictures of the Merlot seem to show the type of problem that I have with my Merlot. What sort of expense would I need to budget for to have this type of repair carried out.

Please PM me.

Thanks Julian

One of our longer term projects has been to fit a turbo, clutch and power steering to this beauty :) it was left with us with the understanding that work would be carried out as and when we had time, once the work was finished Paragon carried out a full engine bay clean, and a detail to the paintwork, the over all results are fantastic, and I know the owner is very pleased with it.

Ignore the wheels, they are temporary, so where not cleaned at all

The red mark 2 car that had t5he rust and bumper sorted out by Garath is my car. I am so impressed with his work and over the moon with the results.

The areas look like new and the colour match is perfect.

The price was very reasonable too.

If you need this sort of work done to your car it is really worth trying to get to the MX5 restorer.
