The Norfolk Fives had a great day at RAF Marham Yesterday, we get invited to this exclusive event every year due to the work we do raising money for local charities and every year it is a challenge to organise everyone and the security checks that are required.
The day started well with people joining us from a number of regions near and far, it was great to meet so many new people, with a couple driving up from the South Coast. After a little bit of wet weather the skies cleared and we watched the amazing display from the red arrows, Battle of Britain memorial flight and many others.
Our thanks goes to Ian for organising the events. Thanks also to Chris, Katie and Paul for leading separate convoys to the base sow e all got there together. A big thank you to Jamie for getting everyone parked in mark and colour order. And a massive thanks to Adam and the base for everything they did to put on an amazing event this year.
We collected £305 of voluntary donations with a further £132 on our Just Giving page plus some gift aid. This brings the total raised by the Norfolk fives in 2017 to £5006.88 for East Anglian Air Ambulance.
