Kent Past Event – Valentines Run – 11th Feb 2018

This was the first run of the year in the beautiful Weald of Kent. A new run this year on our 11th year of running this event. So gave everyone a chance to try something different. With narrow single file country lanes not to mention large puddles from the rain the night before, not many clean cars at the end of the run but big thanks to everyone for coming along and supporting the event. We had a great turn out, with a 25 mile run together followed by lunch at Chartwell previous home of Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine. We then all had a walk around the gardens to wear the grub off!  and took a sneak look at the Clementine Exhibition, before the snow came down around 4pm, some of us had a snow blizzard drive home but certainly made for an enjoyable day, catching up with members who we had not seen in a while.

The weather was sunny but cold, but allowed top down run with big smiles on our faces. Not to mention the funny hats !!! Lots of tree hugging and laughter.

Just a few photos of the day (some borrowed from members thankyou). Hope you had fun. Hope the cleaning of the cars was not too bad!….

See you all soon. Have fun in your ‘5’, Spring is on its way the snow drops were beautiful.

Best Wishes
