Thanks to Simon and Linda for a great day out.  Another lovely day and a very good turnout of cars.We met at Beryl’s Cafe at Rye at 9am for a good breakfast before a run to Hawkinge Battle of Britain Museum.  This houses the largest Battle of Britain collection of memorabilia.

No photographs were allowed in the museum although a member of the museum team did take a photo of us

After a very good tour round the museum we then drove off to Folkestone and the Capel Le Ferne memorial.

With a picnic lunch on the cliff top looking out to France

And then onto the memorial whichis a monument to aircrew who flew in the Battle of Britain.

Altogether a very good, and very thought provoking day out.
