Here’s to a better 2021!

How do you summarise a year like 2020? Normally we’d be looking back at some of our fantastic events, drives and get togethers, but sadly this year our traditional calendar was cancelled before it even got going. Despite the restrictions some runs and days out were able to go ahead in some of the Areas across the country, but the year became mostly delivered online.

Recent editions of Soft Top Hardtop Magazine have enjoyed lots of great additional content from Members and Club partners, the magazine continues to evolve and with the growth in the Club has become the UK’s largest dedicated Japanese car title.  Accompanying the December edition, the Club’s 2021 wall calendar saw more pictures submitted than ever before, presenting a real challenge to feature just 12 owners cars!

After a delayed start we were able to get our trackday schedule back on track, albeit with some new restrictions in place. But, getting to see MX-5’s back on track was a very rewarding sight and we have already confirmed some dates for 2021.

Despite the challenges and limited opportunities for face-to-face interactions, we were still able to welcome nearly 1,000 new members into the Club in 2020. For all our new members, we look forward to getting to meet you just as soon as we can in the new year! And our planned calendars are available here and show opportunities here

Finally as the end of the long and bumpy road of 2020 draws near, we know there are many challenges facing us all at the moment and especially in the coming months, we would just like to express gratitude to all Club members, your passion for your MX-5 that led you joining and continuing to support the MX-5 Owners Club means a great deal to us all, thank you.

All being well 2021 presents some brilliant opportunities for the Club
