Murthly Castle on the banks of the River Tay near Dunkeld, is nearly the geographic centre of Scotland and an idillic location for the Club to host this year’s meet for members from all across Scotland and further afield at a special gathering on Sunday 29th May.

Getting there
Just a short distance from the A9 the venue is easily accessed no matter which direction you come, with direct travel times of under 2 hours from Inverness, an hour and half from Aberdeen, an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh and 45 minutes from Dundee we hope to see many MX-5s on the day and with some of the best roads and landscapes in the country leading to the Castle, we’re sure any trip there will be far more enjoyable than a blast along the dual carriageway!
Castle Tours & Tree Tours
Tours of the Castle and chapel can be arranged in advance (10 to 40 people, £15 per head).

Explore the Local Area
Nearby Dunkeld and Birnam overlook the River Tay and has a spectacular cathedral, a wide variety of independent shops, the Beatrix Potter exhibition, Birnam Arts and plenty of friendly pubs and eateries.
If making a longer trip, Highland Perthshire is an outdoor playground catering for fishing, walking, cycling, canyoning, stalking, white-water rafting and more. There are many excellent places to stay, with accommodation ranging from lodges, caravan parks, B&Bs, to country house hotels.
How to attend
The meeting is free for Club members, please see the Club forum for details on how to register and pre-book any tours, non members are welcome but will require a ticket (priced at £10 per car, Link below). The gates for the day will open at 10.30am. Catering, Club marquee and shop will be available into the afternoon.
All cars parked in the display will be entered into competitions with prizes for the presentation, distance travelled and other discretionary judge awards!
