MONTHLY SOCIAL EVENINGS

Our Social evenings are at The Rockingham Arms, 8 Main St, Wentworth, S62 7TL

Situated in the heart of the village of Wentworth within the magnificent Wentworth Estate, the Rockingham Arms is an old and traditional public house which offers off-street parking, good quality food, hand pulled beers and a private room for our meetings.

The monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month. We have the exclusive use of The Barn, found off the courtyard to the right of the main building. If you’d like to arrive early and enjoy a meal, food orders are taken between 6:30 and 7:15, the meeting starts at 8:15. Monthly meetings are open to all MX-5 owners (members and prospective members), do come along and join us.

P&P A Run around Derbyshire, a Christmas Concert and a Curry @ Pipes in the Peaks and The Shalimar
Dec 1 @ 9:30 am – 6:30 pm
P&P A Run around Derbyshire, a Christmas Concert and a Curry @ Pipes in the Peaks and The Shalimar

This run will need to be booked,  a link to the Eventbrite booking facility will be added nearer the time. The closing date will be Thursday October 3rd, i.e. the day after our Social Meeting

The meeting place has still to be finalised, more than likely it will be Moorlands, Owler Bar,
The proposed run will be down through Derbyshire down to The Filling Station Café inside The Great British Car Journey for a cuppa and a cake, then onto The Museum of Making in Derby,  f

From there we will go up to Thorpe, just North of Ashbourne to The Pipes in The Peaks to witness their Christmas Spectacular, starring Resident Organist Christian Cartwright.

After the Concert its down to our favourite Indian Restaurant The Shalimar in Rowsley, nr Matlock for a meal.
Afterwards there are two options, make your own way home, or (as a group of us have already done) book into The Premier Inn Matlock and get a mini bus to and fro.

The North East Midlands Area of The MX-5 Owners Club  have been visiting Pipes in The Peaks for many years read their comments HERE (You will need to join their Facebook group  to view it)

Please study the clubs Good Driving Guide before coming on a run

See some of the places we plan to visit (or revisit)

The Route Card will be available HERE the day before the run, please print it out and bring a hard copy with you, this is a Health and Safety requirement,

As Comfort Stops that are able to take the numbers of cars we are attracting on our runs are difficult to find, I would ask members to buy something at each venue, be it only a cuppa, a buttie or a piece of cake.
