AREA CO-ORDINATOR

“The Wessex area of the MX-5 Owners club holds regular meetings and events throughout the year. All old, new and prospective members are always welcome.

REGULAR MEETS

Wessex club nights are held on the first Tuesday of each month. From October to April we meet at Drusillas Inn, Horton, Wimborne, BH21 7JH from 8.00pm onwards. A special 3-course menu or bar snacks are available from 6.00pm onwards for members who wish to eat prior to the meeting. During the summer months, May through September, we normally arrange a scenic drive followed by a pub supper. These drives are always publicised beforehand on the Wessex website, and in the monthly Wessex newsletter which is emailed to members.

• A daytime, midweek drive to places of interest is arranged each month, and this takes place on the nearest Wednesday to the 15th of the month. Again, all details of forthcoming mid-week events are on the Wessex website and in the newsletter. Our regular monthly Sunday drive is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month and again is an all-day event.

• We usually arrange a sizeable Wessex presence at the Club’s Spring and National Rallies, the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival meetings, and the Silverstone Classic race meeting. At least 2 weekends away are arranged each year, normally in the Spring and Autumn. We also attend and support the track days at Castle Combe, and local Classic Car shows held in Dorset and nearby areas. In addition, we usually attend the Goodwood Breakfast Club events, and the Friday night Cars on Poole Quay events held during the summer period.

New members or members from other Areas visiting Dorset can be sure of a warm welcome at all Wessex events.
