Welcome to the West London Area. Our name is more a reflection of where we meet than our geographical coverage. If you’re from South, West or North West London and some of the surrounding extremes of London then you probably fall into our area.
We have a wide range of cars among our members, from standard specification through to highly modified and everything in-between, but what we all have in common is a love of the MX5. It should therefore come as no surprise to learn that we welcome old, new and prospective members alike, whether you are from the West London area or any other part of the country. Check out our website to find out more about us.
We have a social night on the first Monday of the month, unless it’s a Bank Holiday, in which case the meet is put back a week.
We have two pubs that we alternate between. We meet from 7:30pm onwards, some people come and just have a drink, whilst others have a meal. It’s an evening to meet up with other members, have a chat, look at the cars and find out about up and coming events.
On odd-numbered months we will be at The Oatlands Chaser in Weybridge (25 Oatlands Chase, Weybridge, KT13 9RW).
On even-numbered months we can be found at The Inn on the Lake in Cobham (Silvermere Golf Complex, Redhill Road, Cobham, KT11 1EF).
Although this event started off being a West London ‘do’ it quickly gained traction in the Solent and Sussex Downs areas with many of those members joining us in car park next to Goodwood Racecourse, just a stone’s throw away from the Weald & Downland Museum. Since Ockham Common car park has now introduced fees, […]
It was take-two for the Ripley Event, where we went from one extreme last year (heavy downpours with thunder and lightening) to another this year (scorching sunshine). The event at Ripley is a small village affair with a good selection of vintage cars and agricultural vehicles, along with some newer cars, much like our own […]
The Hanworth Classic is now in its 13th year. It moved from it’s original location in Hanworth, as part of the Hanworth Carnival, to Bushy Park back in 2009, due to the ending of the carnival. 2018 is the third year that the MX5 Owners Club have attended the event and we had a bumper […]
Organising their first event, Sandra and Kevin took a group on a lovely scenic drive to the Rural Life Centre. The weather was perfect, especially for driving with the top down. There were a lot of very narrow winding roads with groups of cyclists along the way but the group managed to stay together. The […]
The trip down to Hayling Island drew a large selection of varying shades of blue MX5s, with a smattering of other colours, and a Lexus to boot. We scooted through Berkshire, starting from the Bushe Café at Blackbushe airfield, and quickly into Hampshire, heading south. One of the positives, if not the only one, of […]
