Our mid stop will be at the Aberavon Beach Hotel, SA12 6QP and lunch will be at St Mary’s Golf & Country Club, Pencoed. CF35 5EA. Lunch menu as follows:
Starters: Vegetable soup complimented with crunchy herb infused croutons. Melon carrpaccio, seasonal berries & raspberry sorbet. St Mary’s chicken liver parfait, focaccia bread shards & sweet tomato chutney resting on glazed leaves. Crayfish salad, crispy gem leaves, thousand island dressing & wholemeal bread.
Main Course: Slow cooked Welsh beef served with Yorkshire pudding & a rich roast gravy & horseradish cream. Roasted Vale turkey, complimented by traditional trimmings, rich roast gravy, stuffing & cranberry sauce. Roast Pembrokeshire pork loin, stuffing, rich roast gravy & apple sauce. Steamed paupiette of cod fillet, new potatoes & Chablis cream sauce. Vegan nut roast, vegetarian gravy & Yorkshire pudding.
Desserts: Lemon tart with strawberries & raspberry and mango coulis. New York style cheesecake, Chantilly cream & raspberry coulis. Belgian apple pie complimented by a rich vanilla custard.
