P&P run (only) to – MX5 Owners Club National Rally

Hi Folks,

 Over the past few months I have been working towards a couple of venues for our 2018 due to clashes with the Race calendar

 Now that agreements are settled I am delighted to able to share with you that Ragley Hall in Warwickshire will be the venue for our 2018 National Rally.

 Ragley is a magnificent and historic house which has been the seat of the Hertford family for over 300 years and sits within 1000 acres of estate. 

I have a arranged with the owners that the house will be open all day for members to visit and tour as part of your entrance to the Rally and that we will use some of the rooms in the house for some of our various programme elements. Having visited recently, I was staggered by some of what I saw, it really is a remarkable home. The hall has been the backdrop for a number of films and TV so may be familiar to a few. The gardens will be open to us and there is a magnificent walk through a Sculpture park to be enjoyed also.

 Competition cars can be set to the front of the hall, lining the drive up to the house from the event with the bulk of our proceedings and parking on the polo field looking towards the house. I am speaking with their grounds team to see if they will permit us to stage some grass driving actives.

 The venue stages a number of car events and they are really looking forward to the Club attending.

 Accommodation in the Area is plentiful and we are working with Scenic Car tours to come up with some offers in nearby Straford upon Avon for members, more of that in coming STHT. There is even a nearby service station for early arrivals!

 I am sure that the Venue will provide us with a memorable and superb Rally and really looking forward to seeing the event there.

It is 106 miles approx 2 hrs from Meadowhell, Sheffield, so it is do able within the day

Meeting at  8:30 for 9:00 at The Stockyard, Hellaby, S66 8QD

A direct route will be taken to the National Rally using Satnavs, check for slow traffic oe accidents on the day, at  the moment via M1 –  A42 – M42 – A435 is the best route
