Members John & Dawn have organised a scenic drive on the 9th September 2018. This will be over two phases leaving Sainsbury’s Norwich at 9am. John and Dawn have put together a full day that we are looking really forward to.
START: Sainsbury’s Longwater at 9am sharp (please arrive before 845am for a safety briefing, tea and coffee available at McDonalds)
PHASE ONE: Wiveton Hall Holt Norfolk NR25 7TE

The first phase will be cross country taking in some nice roads and villages arriving at Wiveton Hall Cafe around 10am ish. The owners have enough space for 30 cars max and can offer a continental style buffet breakfast or a bacon and sausage bap for the price of £10.50 each. The drinks are not included in the price. This must be paid for in advance to allow John & Dawn to make final payment a week in advance. This phase is limited to 30 cars.
PHASE TWO: Langham Glass Greenway Lane Fakenham Norfolk NR21 8ET

This phase will leave around 11am and again will be cross country taking in some nice roads and a photo shoot for all cars along the route arriving at Langham Glass in Fakenham around 1pm (may be earlier subject to numbers and photo shoot) There is a large cafe at Langham Glass and they do a really nice Sunday lunch, which you can book independently in advance (Tel: 01328 863500) if required or just have a coffee and a cake.
They do a Glassmaking Demonstration during which you can “blow” your own glass. They will do a discount for MX5 owners, so again John & Dawn will need to know in advance. There is a large shop to look around and the car park is big enough for members to gather and chat. There is no limit to the number of cars attending this phase two. The maximum cost for the glass blowing demo is £6.50, the more that sign up to this, the lower the price will be.
John will supply a route guide for both phases, finishing sometime late afternoon from Fakenham making your own way home.
Because this is in two phases you’re welcome to attend both or just one.
