Tan Hill Run

Don, Irwin and their ladies have arranged a run to Tan Hill. The run takes in some lovely scenic views and some great driving roads.

The drive takes in one of the roads used by many motoring programmes, due to its great uninterrupted views.
The winding and sweeping bends of Buttertubs pass is a great driving road for car enthusiasts.

We aim to have lunch at Tan Hill which dates back to the 17th century, it’s the UK’s highest Inn at 1732 feet above sea level, nestled in the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales.

Swaledale is one of the most northern dales in the Yorkshire Dales national park.

There is a carpark at the Inn, so if you want to have a picnic lunch taking in the views that’s fine.
We will be asking members to book directly with Tan Hill for lunch arriving at 12.30 – 13.00 Hours, and they will try to ensure we can all be seated together.

Please book directly with Tan Hill to pre-order your food and say you are with the MX5 Northwest Owners club.
