The Four ‘L’ Run – Lancashire Lanes to Lytham for Lunch.
The Four ‘L’ run is a rather special event for the North West group as we have the privilege of welcoming members of the the Tyne Tees area who will join us for this run through the Forest of Bowland and the Fylde. This is the latest collaboration event between the two groups. Unusually, the run will take place on a Saturday which may be of particular interest to those who would not normally be able to make it on the more customary Sunday.
Leaving Barton Grange Garden Centre, Garstang Road, Brock, Preston PR3 ORB at 10:30 we will drive through the lanes and villages of Inglewhite, Whitewell, Dunsop Bridge (4.5 miles from the geographic centre of Great Britain) and Slaidburn before heading over Burn Moor to Wray where a comfort break has been arranged at Bridge House Farm Tea Rooms.
After the break the run continues in a south westerly direction through Caton, Quernmore and across the A6 towards the Fylde region passing through the villages of Nateby, Great Eccleston, Weeton and Wrea Green. The run finishes in the splendid and glorious resort of Lytham which is an ideal place for you to stretch your legs and to have a late lunch at one of the many eateries in the town.
We are sure that a warm welcome awaits our visitors from the Tyne Tees area and with your support and assistance we hope they will leave us having had a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable time.
Tulip Maps will be posted in the files section on our Facebook page in due course.
