Variations on a Wales Theme
Tony & Judith have organised this run which starts at Hapsford (Chester) Services, Junction 14 on the M56, CH2 4QZ. Meeting Sunday, 23 June, 10:00am for a 10:30 start.
The first part of the run, takes us through the Cheshire countryside into Wales with a comfort/coffee break at Cafe R, Ruthin, LL15 1BB, 40 miles. There is a large free car park with toilet facilities. From here we travel through Denbigh then southwest along a section of the Evo Triangle, beware of average speed cameras here. Then on to our lunch stop at the Giler Arms, LL24 0LL, just of the A5 near Pentrefoelas. (See note below).
After lunch we wind our way north and east along roads with amazing views of Yr Wyddfa, (Snowdon to us), driving through Pandy Tudur, Llansannan and Henllan. We finish at The Plough in St Asaph, close to the A55, where we can say our goodbyes before heading home.
The Giler Arms will be serving Sunday lunch with a choice of Beef, Turkey, Gammon or Nut Roast at a cost of £11.45 a head. THESE NEED TO BE PRE ORDERED.
Please email your meal choices to Tony & Judith at mx5nw.lunch@gmail.com no later than 15 June 2024.
The run is approximately 100 miles, tulip maps are available on our FB page or from Tony at the start if not on FB.
Hope you enjoy our run, look forward to seeing you.
