Sunday Run and Bowling

Meeting at 9:30 at The Stockyard S66 8HN for a cuppa, leaving at 10:00 our route with take us around ‘the Dukeries’ area to an interesting Antique Centre with a rather nice café for our mid morning break.

We are friendly, family run Antique & Vintage Emporium with a café/bistro.  The building itself is a listed barn, with extensive car parking, nestled in the heart of Robin Hood Country. There is approximately 5,500 sq ft of quality antiques, jewellery, curios, paintings, vintage, retro and up-cycled furniture to suit all budgets. Alongside these, you will find bespoke hampers and one-off handmade gifts (as well as candles & other scented goodies to take home and unwind with).

At the heart of the building you will find our Crew Yard (previously a winter residence for cattle ) which is now home to our garden reclaimed and architectural salvage items. Looking onto the Crew Yard & nestled at the end of the building is our Café & Bistro. We offer a range of fresh home cooked meals from our specials board as well as scones, light bites & afternoon tea. There’s something for everyone!

Then it s on to the Pleasley Pit and Country Park where we can have a look around and have another drink and  snack

Pleasley Pit and Country Park has a lot to offer visitors. Whether your interest is industrial archeology, the mining industry, the amazing wildlife of our local nature reserve or you just want to enjoy the countryside, there is something here for everyone.

Both Pit Head Winding Engines will be  running for one of the last times this year.

We will leave the country Park at 2:00, arriving at The Chesterfield Bowl at 2:30 ready the bowling organised by Trevor and Eileen, starting at 3:00.
