The final run of 2019 is to the Shugborough Estate NT, with a comfort stop on route

Shugborough, a uniquely decorated estate
Come and enjoy everything that Shugborough has to offer at this special time of year. The entire estate is showing off its seasonal best both inside and out so whether you’re planning a drop by to see the unique decorations and warm up in the tea-room, or a visit to take part in the planned activities, you will leave feeling inspired.
Shugborough’s themed decorations get more exciting each year. From 30 November, the Mansion, Servants’ Quarters, Park Farm House and Gardens will be adorned with designed landscape inspired decoration. Visit to find out which festive colours are draped around the trees and how many different interpretations there are of a bauble.
Finish your visit with a trip to our tearooms for some festive treats.
There is a non member admission charge to park get into the Hall
Starting at Moorlands, Owler Bar, Sheffield S17 3BQ at 9:30 for a cuppa or earlier if you are having a full breakfast the run will leave at 10:00. The route is via Bakewell, Ashborrne,and the Uttoxeter bypass
Please note this run is on Sunday 1st, a week earlier than normal.
There will be a 45 minute break after about an hour for a comfort stop and cuppa at The Fairways Garden Centre, Ashbourne (or slightly longer if they are busy and service is slow)
The mileage to Shugborough Hall from Moorlands is approx. 60 miles,
The return trip can be directly to the M1 via the A38, or via Ashbourne Town Centre to view their Christmas Illuminations ( this will add a further 30 mins to your journey time, the mileage is about the same)
As usual members (and prospective members) are welcome to join or leave an any point, please let the organiser know if you intend to do this so we are not waiting for you, and if you are leaving mid route, ensure that the cars behind know you are leaving the convoy, or you may find you have extra guests at your house for tea !!
