P&P Run to the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre @ Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre

The Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre is a multi-award winning attraction which will transport you back in time to the 1950’s heyday of this famous port. Carefully crafted sets and original preserved trawler interiors capture the atmosphere and essence of a remarkable way of life in one of the most dangerous occupations in living memory.

The starting point will be The Stockyard, Hellaby S66 8HN at 8.45 for a cuppa, or earlier if you are having breakfast, its to the Motors at 9:10 and away at 9:15 promptly.

The Mid morning Coffee and Comfort Stop will be at The Viking Way Cafe just outside Market Rasen   (now booked and confirmed)

We have booked two conducted tours (Noon and 2pm allocated on first come basis ) around the magnificent M.F.V. ROSS TIGER – the earliest diesel engine side trawler preserved in the UK! The ship is preserved in a permanent mooring outside of the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre. Tours offer a unique opportunity to see first-hand what it was like to be aboard a trawler.

Standard entry

  • Adult: £8.50 + £3 for Ross Tiger tour
  • Concessions (students, over 60s, disabled): £6 + £2 for Ross Tiger tour
  • Children: £4 + £1 for Ross Tiger tour

A Group Discount of 20% will be allowed if more than 15 members visit

There is a cafe on site

The mileage to the venue is approx 80 miles, the return run can either via Lincoln and The Pyewipe Inn for a late afternoon meal or by the M180 and M62 / M18

Members from all MX-5 Club Areas (and prospective members) are welcome to join or leave at any point, please let the leader know if you intend to do this so we are not waiting for you, and if you are leaving mid route, ensure that the cars behind know you are leaving the convoy,  or you may find you have  extra guests at your house for tea !!!!
