P&P Sunday Run -Back to the 40’s in Woodhall Spa 2022

The Woodhall Spa 40s Festival has a wide variety of 40s ‘Home Front’ themed events which take place at numerous venues across the village throughout the weekend.

Meeting  for a cuppa and possibly a buttie, leaving from The Stockyard, Hellaby Ln, Bramley, Rotherham S66 8HN (Meeting and departure times to be confirmed, provisionally 8:30 and 9:00) , the run will go by a scenic route to The Football Ground in Woodhall Spa, (LN10 6RA) where private parking has been organised.  (Donation required a minimum of £5.00 per car is suggested) From there its a 20 minute stroll into the centre of the Town,

The day will finish with a picnic / BBQ outside ‘Lesley mobile cafe’ on the football ground.

Please  bring your own food  and refreshments ( There are two excellent butchers and  a well stocked CoOp in Woodhall Spa, all open on Sunday) and remember to put your light weight chair in the boot.

40’s themed dress is desirable,  but not essential,If you have any 40’s gear please bring it, if not come in what you feel comfortable in.

1940’s Festivals not your thing? Why not come across with the convoy, then drive to  Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Museum via Tattershall and Coningsby, then possibly on to Claythorpe Water Mill & Gardens, Or you could stop off at the Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre where you can sit in the cockpit of their very own C47 Douglas Dakota aircraft.

Then return to join other members for a picnic / BBQ at the football ground mid afternoon where Lesley’s mobile greasy spoon will be parked up.

Members from all MX-5 Club Areas (and prospective members) are welcome to join or leave at any point, please let the leader know if you intend to do this so we are not waiting for you, and if you are leaving mid route, ensure that the cars behind know you are leaving the convoy,  or you may find you have  extra guests at your house for tea !!!!
