Eh up its’ The Tour de Yorkshire

The Tour de Yorkshire Route Card is now on  downloadable, if you are coming along please download it and either print it out or send it to your mobile phone as a pdf.

This run now combines the two remaining T de Y routes

Meeting at Dearne Valley Farm at 9:30  it is ‘to the motors’ at 10:00, leaving at 10:15 after signing on etc, we will  make our way east to the A1 and onto the more civilised A1246 to Wetherby for a mid morning comfort stop at Morrisons Cafe, from here it is on to Kettlewell to meet the scarecrows, our route back is via Skipton a Silsden and Haworth to the outskirts of Bradford on as much of the T de Y route as is practical.

From The Kettlewell Village web site

Welcome to Kettlewell and Britains best Scarecrow Festival. It is a great day out for all the family. Follow the theme of the trail to take you round our idyllic Yorkshire village. Solve the riddles of the trail to find the mystery word  with prizes to be won every day!

Trail sheets are £1 Along the route you can taste real country baking in our village hall or one of the village cafes and for something stronger we have three great pubs. There is plenty of parking for cars (£3 per car

The run finishes at the M606 / M62 junction allowing members to go east for Kirklees, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire or west over the Pennines.

The mileage  of the full run is 130 miles,

As usual members (and prospective members) are welcome to join or leave an any point, please let me know if you intend to do this so we are not waiting for you, and if you are leaving mid route, ensure that the cars behind know you are leaving the convoy, or you may find you have extra guests at your house for tea !!
