Red Rose Tour with Italian Lunch

Steve’s Red Rose Tour + Italian Lunch. Meeting 10.00 am for 10.30 start at Huntley’s Farm Shop, Whalley Road, Samlesbury, PR5 0UN.

This drive of 73 miles in total, begins along the A59, through Ribchester, over Jeffrey Hill and following the River Hodder via Whitewell, Dunsop Bridge to Newton. Here we drive the scenic route passing through Waddington, West Bradford and Chatburn to Downham, where we have a coffee/comfort break and maybe a little surprise. From here it’s over Pendle Hill, through the witch’s villages of Barley and Newchurch. A quick blast (watch your speed) along the A56 to Ramsbottom. Then passing Winter Hill as we drop down into Rivington and on to our lunch stop at the Olive Garden Restaurant on Preston Road, Standish.

The club has used this restaurant many times in the past, the food and service are very good. Two courses are £14.95. I expect to arrive here at 2.00 pm.

Let me or Jean know on the day at Huntley’s if you wish to eat at the Olive Garden, we will then notify the restaurant before we start. They are reserving 30/40 places.
