Route Cards To Farndale               Return from Farndale           Folk Museum Insert

Meeting at The Dearne Valley Farm (Pub) at  9:30 for a cuppa, or earlier if you are having one of their  value for money breakfasts , leaving at 10:00 prompt, our route will wind its way on A and B roads to the Daffys in Farndale via The Motorist for a comfort stop and Sutton Bank.

We need to leave The Motorist Cafe at 12:00 noon at the latest, from here we head through Tadcaster passing by its two famous brewerys. (LS24 9AH, ) From here its across country to Alne Toll Bridge, 80p? where the last bridge keeper drove a MX5! Turning right after Easingwold we head through several picture postcard villages and onto  the ‘mouse mans’ (YO61 4AH) village Kilburn, then its up Sutton Bank to the Tourist information Centre (YO7 2EH) for a brief comfort stop, if required.

Helmsley (YO62 5AB),  is the next village on our route, the square is a popular stopping off point for bikers,

Next it is decision time, drive to Low Mil where parking (£2.50) has been reserved for the MX5 Owners Club, or explore Hutton-le-Hole and the Rydale Folk Museum. with all day parking for £3.00

The path through Farndale is mostly surfaced but it can be muddy on a few sections, wellies / boots or stout shoes are recommended, the Farndale Valley is famous for its wild daffodils.

Those who have been to this area before will know that this is just a cover for going to see Rachael the lovely Landlady of The Feversham Arms Inn to sample her over generous portions of bar food and excellent hand pulled beers !

So for speed, and to enable members to be served at the same time in the restaurant area, reserved for us exclusively, a special menu has been put together for The MX-5 Owners Club, please fill in your food requirements as you register to come on the run (Tickets)

The return journey will take us up the Rosedale Chimney, the run finishes on the outskirts of York.
