Hi Everyone,
I have been in contact with Tanith & Clive (new owners of The Milbury) over recent months and seen the work progress that they have been undertaking with the renovation works. Today (19th January 2024) I called in and had a drink and chat with Tanith, as Clive was in London at a Wine Event, to finalise details for this event.
Their kitchen is not up and running yet, so they are unable do hot food at the moment but Tanith said she would allocate us the large dining area, which is beautifully restored with an open fire and all new funiture (see photos of the renovations below to whet your appetite) and provide us with a Charcuterie Selection of Cold Meats and Cheeses, together with pickles and bread in baskets for us at a cost of between £15 to £18/head. Knowing Tanith & Clive, it will be good quality and I dont think anyone will starve 
They also have a great bar with some fine Real Ales, Wines and spirits for those not driving.
Tanith is going to set up the big table on the left as you go into first lounge area, as a Buffet Table at approx 7:30pm, so we can all help ourselves. This will also enable them to tidy up without disturbing us once the quiz has started on the other side of the fireplace.
To add a bit of fun to the evening Diane & Terry have produced a quiz for us all to partake in, so get swatting and there will be a prize for the highest score.
Whilst there I took the opportunity to view al the renovation work and its stunning and even went up into the Minstral Gallery, which I never knew existed and its decorated and just awaiting the sofas to be delivered and look directly over the water wheel and well. The toilets were completely gutted and have been totally refurbished, so lovely and clean with no cobwebs
