Date for diaries : (Monthly at Lunchtime in 2017):
3rd Saturday of the month – July 15th; August 19th;
– September 16th; October 21st; November 18th ;
– December 16th (May be at a different venue)
Location of Pub :
The pub is located in Henfield High Street. Its a new venue for Sussex Downs in 2017 and
we have use of our own dining area at the rear of the main dining/bar area.
Food Orders :
Most people come for lunch and the pub /chef asks for most food to be pre ordered & I also need to know numbers of people coming beforehand to help the chef plan his lunchtime orders and so they can lay out the tables settings etc.
I normally arrange this via email, so if you are not already on my monthly email list and are interested in coming to the Sussex Downs Pub meet, please get in touch so I can add you to my email list.
I send out the menu about 10 days before the pub meets & I need to let the pub know a couple of days beforehand with our meal order. They also set up individual tabs on the till so everyone to pay individually afterwards.
Car Parking.
There is a Pub Car Park and access is via a narrow driveway alongside the pub on the north side.
However, space may be limited, so if you cannot find a space please drive thorough the Car Park, turn left and then left again onto the High Street. Drive about 100m and there are 2 Public Car Parks (both free) on either side of Henfield High Street.
The Library Car Park (on the right) is nearest. Park at the bottom of the car park and walk through the twitten to come out on the High Street. Cross via pedestrian push button lights and the pub is opposite.
