World Record attempt, Elvington Airfield on June 20th
Back in 2019 we attempted to go for the largest parade of Mazdas World Record to bring the title back to the UK. While we came so very, very close, sad to say that only a small number of drivers let the whole attempt down, especially where everyone had worked so hard, including everyone who closed the gap.
But taking all of the learnings from that attempt, working with all the restrictions we may face and with newly updated World Record attempt guidelines, we plan to make a return to Elvington Airfield on June 20th and make you all world record holders.
Pre-registration will be online and will launch in early 2021, and while there will need to be a registration fee for the attempt, members will be sent a welcome and participant pack in advance, helping to speed entry and on the day record registration. Pre-registration will also help us with all that will be required for ordering in facilities you’ll be pleased to hear, (there are no world records for queuing, but if there were we would have broken at least one).
The run is meeting at The Stockyard at 9:30 leaving at 10:00, TIMINGS TO BE CONFIRMED
As usual members (and prospective members) are welcome to join or leave an any point, please let us know if you intend to do this so we are not waiting for you, and if you are leaving mid route, ensure that the cars behind know you are leaving the convoy, or you may find you have extra guests at your house for tea !!
The route card will be available shortly before the event
Please print it out and bring it with you (or send it to your phone as a .pdf), this is a Health and Safety requirement.
If you have not already done so please read The Clubs Good Driving Guide
We hope to see you on Sunday
